WhyMaker is hiring a Sales Support Specialist for the products we sell to schools. This role is a combination of lead generation, sales, and administrative tasks of order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will own the whole sales cycle and fulfillment process. They will generate new leads, handle inbound sales, close sales to a Purchase Order, and manage relationships to ensure successful delivery and satisfied customers. This successful candidate will be the product expert, building and managing relationships with vendors, staying on top of updates and new products from current vendors, and finding new products to add to the WhyMaker catalog. This is a Part-Time, remote role, working within the sales and marketing team.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Implement Sales Pipeline
• Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects
• Nurture prospects and find new sales opportunities
• Maintain client files and keep CRM up-to-date
• Prepare proposals and follow up to close sales
• Report on important information
• Suggest sales process improvements
Lead Generation
• Attend networking events
• Identify potential clients, generate leads, and new business opportunities
• Set appointments
• Contact and qualify leads
Meet Product Sales Targets
• Understand company offerings and close deals
• Consistently meet monthly sales targets
Customer & Vendor Relations
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and vendors
• Provide excellent service throughout the sales lifecycle
• Understand and meet the needs of the customers
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions to overcome barriers
• Look for opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling
• Research new products and manage onboarding of new vendors from discovery to contract
Product Expert
• Stay on top of industry trends and product updates
• Research potential new vendors & make recommendations for new products
• Maintain database of information about resale products
• Train the sales & marketing team on new products as necessary
• Make recommendations & provide info on what products to promote
• Assist with product RFPs and Proposals
• Manage products on website
• Add, remove and update products, pricing, and descriptions
Product Fulfillment
• Execute product delivery process, order fulfillment
• Process customer orders
• Track and communicate delivery
